Hello, World!

I'm Kristi, a User Experience Designer and User Researcher,
solving problems for companies around the globe.

My Design Process

My design process is an iterative process requiring collaboration between multiple teams and your end users. It's easy to get attached to initial design solutions and omit research and testing, but in my experience this rarely works. First solutions are often wrong because in the early stages, it's difficult to know the full scope of the problem you're attempting to solve. It's important to first validate the problem presented to you and discover the root cause.

Deep knowledge of your users, their environments, and their goals is required for great design. Conducting research, talking to users, getting requirements from stakeholders, collaborating with different teams and testing prototypes all help keep a project on track. I believe that successful design projects stem from good communication and keeping the end-user in the forefront.

The 76 cent statistic comes from raw data - essentially, someone took the median U.S. salary for male employees and compared to the median salary for female employees, and came up with a 24-cent gap.
